The Health visitor is a qualified nurse with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and health education.
Every child under five years of age has a named Health Visitor, who is responsible for monitoring growth the child’s growth, well-being and development.

How the Health Visitor can help
Health visitors can provide information and support on a wide range of issues, including:
- Sleep problems
- Dietary problems and feeding advice
- Bed wetting
- Speech problems
- Hearing and vision problems
- Developmental and Behavioural problems
They can also advise on the childhood immunisations and vaccination programme.
Baby Clinic
The Health Visitor team runs the Baby Clinic weekly, by appointment only. Please contact the surgery to book an appointment and for further information.
